Buses take guests from the Orlando International Airport to the Disney Resort hotel, while the bags are transported and taken straight to the hotel room. The main pool and complex located at Old Port Royale at Disneys Caribbean Beach Resort will be closed for refurbishment from Jan. 7 through mid-September 2008. During this time, the six other pools located at each island within the Resort will remain open. In addition, small child-sized slides will be temporarily added to the pools at Jamaica Village and Barbados Village.

Featuring five lakefront tropical island villages set on 200 acres, Disney's Caribbean Beach Resort features several pools and an array of water activities, and is approximately 20 miles from Orlando International Airport. Local attractions include the Walt Disney World® Theme Parks, all located near the resort, and accessible via scheduled buses.

Each island village at Disney's Caribbean Beach Resort is named for and resembles a unique Caribbean island, such as Jamaica, Aruba, and Barbados. Each village features its own heated swimming pool, while the feature pool at the central Old Port Royale area contains water cannons, waterfalls, and waterslides. The white-sand beach is perfect for soaking up the sun, playing volleyball, or taking to the water in a canoe, sailboat, or a mini-motorboat. Four playgrounds are located throughout the resort for children's enjoyment. Additional amenities include a jogging trail, bicycle rentals, laundry facilities and services, babysitting services, and parking. Dining options include American-Caribbean fusion at Shutter's at Old Port Royale, and a variety of food outlets at the Old Port Royale Food Court.

Guest rooms feature in-room meal delivery, coffeemakers, irons and ironing boards, hairdryers, safes, cable TV, and high-speed Internet access. Refrigerators are available upon request.
